The legendary journey of the Inkvaders
Team Founded
May 2016
The Inkvaders were born on an app called Amino, Dahriel put out a post looking for players of a
similar skill level to grow with. He got responses from 4 other players who would go on to share
the joint role of captain and the rest is history.

Dahriel, Luna and Eseral came onto the scene as a charger, jr and brush player respectively.
Theyve remained loyal to those starting roles while simultaneously branching out to add new
tools to their repertoire.

Our very first tournament, we were still pretty green but managed to make it to the top 8.

Naomi is the only player to have joined the team post forming and been an active member at some
point for each Splatoon game. She quickly became a staple of the teams offense.
The War
March 2017
The War was the earliest evidence of a team event, we broke up into 2 seperate sides and
competed for glory. Like any good war there was no good reason for it.
New Backline Specialist

Two years in we met yet another mainstay on the roster. Shads came in as not only our star
charger player but also quickly became our bridge to the splatoon community at large
A Rival Becomes an Ally

When you're playing with Moon prepare to have Wipeout flash on your screen regularly. When it
comes to a flank or a decisive play in a inch he's your guy.
Team Split
July 2021
Don't worry its not as dramatic as it sounds. At this point the team had grown large and housed
two different visions for playing. The team split into Alpha a branch focused on tournamentt
play and a more involved effort to improve, and Bravo a team that was more focused on
experimenting with the game. Both teams continued to play in most of the same events and
generally
pooled resources under the Inkvaders name. Unfortunately their dream of meeting in bracket never
came to fruition before the teams rejoined

Flex
Shallow joined at a time when the team was trying to reinvigorate it's competitive edge. She
quickly became a driving force in the teams rapid development.
Bravo Meets Ben

In terms of exposure to the game you could call Ben the youngest player. Yet you wouldn't know
this by watching his gameplay. His machine was pivotal to some of Bravo's best tournament runs.
Low Ink

We won gamma bracket in this month's Low Ink! This win sparked a fire under us leading to frequent appearances in the higher brackets following it.

Second Logo
September 2022
Our first logo had a great run but it was time for something new. This time Luna, Naomi and Shallow collaborated for a new logo
Rejoining
October 2022
While both Alpha & Bravo were doing a pretty good job maintaining their individual visions their
small rosters made playing events difficult and the teams slowly collapsed back down into one
over time.
First LUTI Victory
May 2025
The LUTI council likes to say that if a team feels they were underseeded they should prove it by
winning the season, the Inkvaders took this message to heart and won LUTI Season 16 Dvision 10
while not dropping a
single set along the way

The Journey Continues
Present Day
The Inkvaders still play on! Luna, Eseral, Shads, and Moon have an active presence as members,
Shallow and Naomi are known to sub in for the team with Naomi even being a reserve player for
the upcoming LUTI season. Dahriel maintains this very website and Ben exists in the world somewhere probably.
